SafeTrx Flotilla tracked participants in the first race of the 2021 South Australian Ocean Paddling (SOAP) Series which took place on South Australia’s Metro-Coast last Saturday 28th August. The majority of the 65 participants were safely monitored using the Flotilla race tracking software along the 15km course. The use of SafeTrx by competitors is an integral part of the race series safety plan. SafeTrx assists in keeping everyone safe by enabling race organisers (and the public) to track the location of each competitor via SafeTrx Flotilla. Members of water sports club house, Jump Team are showing increasing interest for SafeTrx Active. Kite surfers and wind surfers are hitting the waves with SafeTrx Active strapped to their wrist. The club has recorded 873 activity sessions and members have clocked up over 1,138 hours out at sea! SafeTrx Active’s capability as a tracking and alerting device came into its own during a recent Search and Rescue exercise by the KNRM – Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding MaatschappijThe KNRM staged an emergency where somebody had fallen over board and had started to drift.
