A successful rescue simulation by KNRM Scheveningen and SafeTrx Active

Scheveningen, April 15, 2022.
The water sports season is about to commence and together with KNRM Scheveningen we held a safety demonstration for the media and press to spread the word of safety and how the SafeTrx Active watch can help keep you safe at sea.
For the demonstration we simulated a rescue to showcase the simplicity of the watch. Stand Up Paddler, Mara van der Schaaf paddled more than 2km offshore, she raised an assistance alert and each person received her location via the SafeTrx Web App. Using the search light feature everyone could see exactly how to get to Mara from their location. Once the alert was received, the KNRM lifeboat crew set off to find her. Even though it was a clear day and the sea was calm it was still very hard to spot her, but by using the coordinates from the Web App this allowed the crew to navigate their way to Mara quickly and efficiently.
The rescue demonstration was a success, broadcasted and published on RTL Nieuws, Hart van Nederland, De Telegraaf and Algemeen Dagblad AD.
This showcase would not have been possible without the help of all the dedicated staff and volunteers at the KNRM. Users of the emergency watch automatically donate to the KNRM via their subscription, a token of appreciation to all the staff and volunteers that put their lives at risk to keep everyone safe at sea. SafeTrx admires their constant motivation to protect and ensure the safety of others and are proud to work very closely with the rescue services.
Wherever. Whatever. We’ll find you.
